The Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, has witnessed a surge in online gambling ventures following the issuance of licenses earlier this year.
Codere Online, a gambling operator headquartered in Madrid, is now providing sports betting and online casino services through its website, www.codere.be.ar.
Codere Online, previously a subsidiary of Codere, achieved independence earlier this year. The company made its debut on the Nasdaq stock exchange earlier this month after merging with DD3 Acquisition Corp II, a special purpose acquisition company.
Concurrently, Bplay is introducing its online casino offering on Bplay.bet.ar. Bplay is a collaborative venture between 888 and B-Gaming, a company owned by the Boldt Group, which manages two casinos in Argentina.
In other developments, Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), an online gambling technology firm, is powering the online casino and sportsbook for Grupo Slots, accessible at Jugadon.bet.ar.
GiG and Grupo Slots received their operational license in March of this year, following an agreement reached in August 2020.

Buenos Aires is a bustling market with immense potential for expansion in the interactive realm, driven by increasing regulation and the growing popularity of digital online gaming. It is on track to become one of the biggest markets in Argentina.
The City Lottery (LOTBA), the governing body for gambling in Buenos Aires City, established licensing standards for online gambling permits in February 2020.
Argentina is currently overseeing gambling on a state-by-state basis.
This week, Cordoba province put forward a proposal for a law that would permit online gambling in the area.
Buenos Aires province has also granted licenses for the vertical.
